Regional communities are resilient to flood and drought through infrastructure they could not fund alone. Grants of $250,000 to $8,000,000. Closes 08/09/2026; decisions by 23/10/2026. Your application is checked for eligibility as soon as it is lodged and assessed only against the published criteria.

Eligibility, as published

  1. Applicant is a local council, regional alliance or incorporated not-for-profit (clause 3.1).
  2. Applicant holds a current ABN and is not deregistered (clause 3.2).
  3. Project is located in an eligible region (clause 3.4).
  4. Project commences within 18 months of the agreement (clause 4.2).
  5. Co-contribution is at least 20% of total project cost (clause 4.5).
  6. Amount sought is within the round's minimum and maximum (clause 4.1).
  7. Applicant has no overdue acquittal under any program (clause 3.6).
  8. Applicant holds public liability insurance of at least $20M (clause 3.7).
  9. Land tenure or landowner consent is evidenced (clause 4.7).
